Board Meeting- May 25, 2004

Those present were: Lewis Walling, Valerie DeHoff, Robert King, Katie Baker, Stella McKnight, Lia Holland, Emily Jones, Jeanette MacCallum, Jeremy Jones, JJ Ebelhar, David Spencer, and Brenda Jewell.

Robert began a discussion regarding home-schooled students auditioning for MTVA events. After some discussion, those present agreed that our current handbook could not handle the issue. Some thought will be given to the subject. Above all, the board must be proactive.

Board Meeting- August 24
Treasurer's Report- We have a surplus of 4,458.53 for this year. Robert's idea is to put the surplus back into membership from Mid-State (it makes a lot of money); should we help the kids who make All-State on their student fees? Also, choral festival makes a lot of money- should we underwrite some of the expenses for those groups who go to state?

Lewis would like any suggestions of composers who compose for Women's Choir for the All-State commissioned piece for 2006.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:30.
